Knives are good, but instead of so much cardboard all around, could a reusable knife cover serve as packaging?

Finally cutting bread again with reasonable effort and acceptable effort. Bread for fondue with a thick crust can be cut really well. After years of using the previous bread knife, I no longer knew how easy it was to cut bread. The price of almost 30 francs is high, but so is the quality.
