The "Extra" tomatoes usually impress with their intense flavor, even in winter. They are juicy and ideal for salads. The only drawback is that the skin is sometimes a little tough or they ripen quickly.

For one of the highest prices, I received rock-hard, completely unripe, tasteless, and odorless tomatoes with black holes—apparently carefully selected by the packers. "Extra hard" and "extra disappointing" probably sums it up best.
