I tried it. But even after a week, they weren't particularly aromatic and didn't come off the core very well.
Even after a week (in addition to ripening apples) still rock hard and without flavor.
I might as well chew on tennis balls. Too bad, I'll compost the rest...
I've already damaged one of their teeth.
They were good but a little on the ripe side, you have to like it when it crunches under your teeth.
