When I saw it in the store, I was looking forward to it. My conclusion after trying it: Unfortunately very disappointing. Chili power? Not at all! No spiciness at all. Boring in terms of taste and texture. No wonder: a quarter is sugar. Of course sugar preserves, but drying more would be a better alternative. For inspiration, perhaps look to South Africa (biltong) instead of France to see how it's done properly.
