Why doesn't the packaging say where the cucumbers come from?

Large jars of MigrosBudget cucumbers no longer exist. Now I can only find small jars of gherkins, which are too acidic to eat plain, unlike cucumbers, and they're expensive because they only last me one or two raclette sessions at most.
