I'm simply curious if the stinging is due to my shave or the after-shave balm.

This is my second DE shave, and this one was much better. There was no stinging when I applied an alum block. My face, on the other hand, is on fire after using the balm. My skin isn't red, but it still stings.

Migros sells the balm. More than Aloe Vera and Licorice Extract, I don't notice any other components.
