Migipedia overhaul nearly completed
Philipp_Migros
It's been over three months since I first told you about the new look for Migipedia and was able to introduce you to a function for previewing two pages. I'm delighted so announce that I can now present you with more pages in the new look: The Rate and Test pages, the forum, the activity stream, and the community profile pages are all ready for you. Just as before, you can access the new pages from the existing ones by clicking on the orange Preview button.
The new Migipedia pages in brief
Let me briefly talk about the new pages. Of course, product reviews are the focal point of the Rate page. If you're logged on and have linked Cumulus to your profile, you'll see the products you recently purchased. In so doing, we list all purchases you haven't yet rated - provided we have the data available. The orange circle shows how many products you can still rate.
If there's a new product test you haven't seen, we mark Test with a blue dot in the navigation.
You can also take a peek at the new appearance of Discuss, the Migipedia forum. On the overview page, you can see that elements such as the forum search function and the filters are placed differently. If you can't find the forum categories right away, just click on the filter function. The module opens and will also be open on your next visit. All the functions you know from the current forum will also still be available to you. However, to create more space, we've hidden the reporting and copying functions behind the three dots on the right-hand side.
The filter functions are also closed the first time you visit the activity stream. The same applies here: Open them once and they'll still be open on your next visit.
Last but not least, the community profile pages can now also be accessed in their new look. Here too, it's a case of new look, same functions. We're now looking forward to receiving your feedback. You are welcome to visit the new page types. Feedback forms can be found on the top left-hand side, by the Migipedia logo.
75% find the new pages better or much better
The Migipedia homepage and product detail pages have already been available to preview for the last three months. Many of you have taken the opportunity to provide us with feedback on the overhaul. 75% of you found the new pages either better or even much better. And if we also count the votes that find the new pages more or less just as good, then we're at a 92% approval rating. Wow! We would never have expected that! After all, everything new is worse at first 😉.
But seriously, it goes without saying that we've also evaluated the feedback from all those of you who find the new look worse or much worse. Several people have complained that there's no longer a so-called "dark mode". Good news: Dark mode is now also available on the Migipedia preview.
Thank you all for your valuable feedback, as well as the positive responses that have confirmed and motivated us in recent weeks. Thanks to your feedback, we will soon also be able to complete the Migipedia facelift and provide you with a completely revamped community platform.
With best regards and great anticipation, Philipp
