As many as 54 varieties of raw chicken in trays--and only 2 of turkey. But those who do not eat chicken, what should they choose? A chicken disguised as a turkey?

Good morning Jeanne77, thank you for your contribution. The reason for the lower supply of turkey products is the significantly lower demand. Various factors, such as longer breeding period, availability, price, and consumer perception, contribute to the preference for chicken in many cases.
However, there are certainly alternatives to chicken, such as lamb, beef, or veal. We regularly review our assortment and adapt it to demand. If interest in turkey products increases in the future, this will also be reflected in our assortment. Best regards, Alex
For a while, you could get turkey meat from Switzerland at Mirgos, but I was thrilled because I only eat Swiss meat. Unfortunately, it has quietly and secretly disappeared again. It was of course more expensive than the meat from abroad, but it tasted a lot better and certainly didn't come from animal-unfriendly farming. Can't this be offered again? For people who don't just want to eat chicken all the time.

All right, but then why are recipes with turkey offered on Migusto? The same goes for trout: it used to be found frozen, now - poof! - it has evaporated like turkey
If we take a look at the nutritional values:
Turkey meat
Leaner: In general, turkey meat is leaner than chicken meat, so it is more suitable for those who want a lower calorie intake.
More protein: Turkey breast has a slightly lower protein content than chicken breast, while turkey thighs may be higher in protein than chicken thighs.
More digestible: Turkey meat is considered more digestible than chicken meat.
If we then talk about hygiene, with chicken you have to use a dedicated cutting board and there is a higher chance of contracting salmonella
Next time I go grocery shopping I will go to Coop or Aldi, where at least the turkey has not taken flight
without wanting to advertise, i can wholeheartedly recommend https://www.appenzeller-truten.ch/startseite.html 🙏🏼

Hello jeep, thank you for your suggestion. As Alex has already noted, we have noticed a low demand for turkey products. Nonetheless, your wish to be able to purchase a locally produced item from us has been placed with the relevant specialist department. The department managers will review this point at the next product range review and, if necessary, expand the selection accordingly. Kind regards, Tabea

🙋🏼♀️ +1 for turkey lovers!
Chicken is very tasty, but turkey is even more aromatic and we often buy it in rotation. If Swiss turkey was available, we would certainly prefer it too! Thai curry with turkey is the best!
