No Migros app for Android 6.0.1

Keine Migros App für Android 6.0.1

I already bought a cheap Android cell phone last summer - in addition to my WP with a large display - just to finally get the Migros app.
But it had a display that was too small for my old eyes.
After months of avoiding Migros, I was given an Android phablet with a 6.44 display and Android 6.0.1 for Christmas. So I set out to download the Migros app. And what do I see/read???

"Your device is not compatible with this version" !!!!

Unbelievable but true! I finally have an Android cell phone that is also suitable for the visually impaired - but Migros lets me down with it too - just like with the WP!

Hello @lydia-sonja

The responsible department has already given me feedback.

The Migros app has been optimized for Android and iOS phones (not tablets) and is unfortunately not available for Windows phones (WP).the app also requires certain minimum technical requirements for installation.so if an Android tablet does not meet these minimum requirements (Android version, camera specification, etc.), the message "Your device is not compatible with this app." is displayed in the App Store.we can only assess the reasons for this in this specific case if you give us more detailed information about the device (brand, model).

Best regards, Tabi

Hello Tabi
Thanks for the quick reply
1. i don't have a tablet, but simply a slightly larger smartphone with Android 6.01 and these large phones are also called phablets because you can not only "phonate" with them but also work better on them (because of their large display) ;-)
2. yes, I have (unfortunately) known for a very, very long time that there is no app for WP, otherwise I wouldn't have the problem now that my Android smartphone is not accepted either;-)
3. this smartphone has more than the minimum requirements;-)
4. it is the XIAOMI MAX
Kind regards (unfortunately with very little hope:-(

Hello @lydia-sonja

I have asked again and will keep you informed. Best regards, Tabi

Good morning dear Tabi,

I forgot to mention in my 1st post that I was able to install the Coop app within seconds with this XIAOMI MAX smartphone;-) So it is neither my device nor my technical competence that the Migros app cannot be installed on my device. Why can't the department you mentioned - the one responsible - simply admit that it hasn't yet recorded the new Android version 6.0.1 (7.01 is already in the starting blocks);-)

What Coop can do should also be possible for Migros.

Kind regards and have a nice sunny day,
Lydia

Hello @lydia-sonja

Unfortunately, I have to give you a negative answer here: According to our app technicians, Xiaomi has made adjustments to the respective Android operating system which cause problems in the Migros app. This is why the app is not available for Xiaomi.

Thank you also for your addition. I have also forwarded this to our app department.

Despite the difficulties with the Migros app, I wish you a happy new year and a great and fulfilling 2017. Best regards, Tabi

No, dear Migros app technicians!

This can never be true for purely logical reasons, because Migros cannot be so world-famous and exceptional that such a large Chinese cell phone manufacturer would have an interest in excluding the Migros app alone!!! What would he gain from it? !

I can install ALL other CH stores without any problems! In addition to Coop, also Aldi, Jumbo, OTTOs, Denner, Digitec, Ricardousw etc.

And you read and marvel, also LeShop!!! and Migros Bank !!!

Not receiving this Migros Cumulus app is one thing, but getting such impossible answers - that just makes you angry, really angry.

Hello dear Tabi_Migros
The last 3 answers from your so-called "APP technicians" clearly show that they are not bedded on roses with their knowledge / skills.
It has long been known that you are not able to rewrite an app for WP.
The fact that you now also refuse to adapt the app to the Andoid system shows a lack of knowledge/skills.
Perhaps someone else in this store should put things in order
(I also had WP and have now switched to Android because of the Migros app and now the app technicians are refusing to update this app).

Good morning BesserEsser
See you again;-) and unfortunately still because of this antediluvian - now also for the latest Android version - not available - Migros app.
Your suggestion: "Maybe someone else should keep this store tidy"
I think it's good, I've already thought about asking an APP technician from Coop if he could take care of this matter, I'm sure they would be happy to help;-)

Good afternoon,

I have the exact same problem as described by the person before me. When I sideload the app (APK file), it can be installed and also connected to the account, but the following two functions do not work:

- Receipts (hangs with error message: An error occurred while loading the receipts)
- Coupons (they appear, but if you want to activate them, it turns endlessly, the app hangs)

App otherwise starts normally and also displays Cumulus points

It seems to be due to a detail. I can confirm what the previous writer wrote, I have not found a single Android app that is incompatible on this device, everything works. Can also download and install all others. Migros App is the only one that seems to have a problem under MIUI.

OS: MIUI Global 8.1 Stable
Androi 6.01
Model Redmi 3S
3GB RAM, Internal memory 11.01 GB Available, 32 GB total, CPU Octa-core max 1.4 GHz

App has the following permissions:, Camera, Contacts, Storage, Location

Language: German, Region: Germany (Switzerland could not be set), but otherwise no problem for me, no other app had a problem because of this.

I'm sure many people bought this device for Christmas, so I don't think this will be the last report. Hopefully the app developers can find out what the problem might be.
