However, the following is important: Trans fatty acids are primarily produced during partial (i.e. incomplete) hardening of fats and oils. Migros therefore refrains from using partially hydrogenated fats and oils. In this context, however, it must be said that modern hardening processes nowadays make it possible to achieve a low trans fatty acid content. In Switzerland, there is also a legal requirement that the trans fatty acid content must not exceed 2% (based on the fat content).
