At Coop, promotions now apply from Thursday to Wednesday of the following week. At Migros, it's still Tuesday to Monday. Since I only shop once a week, this is impractical. I wonder if Migros will adjust their promotion week?

Where is the logic in that? It doesn't matter whether Migros and Coop have the items from the current or the last promotion week on offer - a promotion is a promotion. Or if it absolutely has to be the latest promotions, just stop shopping on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The promotions still overlap, simply either those of the previous week (Tue/Mi) or those of the current week (Thu-Mon).
I see no reason for Migros to adapt to Coop.
What's more, Migros has always offered seamless promotion days (which I give them credit for), which the Coop has only now managed to do.

I would prefer Coop to return to Tues-Monday. I shop once a week on the same day (Wed/Thu) at Migros and Coop in a shopping center. I was already able to browse through their offers at my leisure on Sun/Mon; I only need a few of the many. Now it's more complicated.

Coop has probably adapted to Lidl. But why should Migros adapt to anyone?
Besides, it's psychologically smarter, you can imagine that if a promotion doesn't start until Tuesday, the products are delivered on Monday and are therefore fresh. If a promotion starts on Monday morning, I could have bought it on Saturday.
