I don't know if you've already had this experience, but I regularly come across unfilled shelves in my store. Not once or twice, which would be acceptable, but again and again. If it was on Mondays, I would understand, because the shelves have to be restocked first, but on Fridays, when I do my bulk shopping, that's not possible. It's worst with the chilled dairy products. To name just 2 products: My husband loves the organic coffee yogurt. I'm always faced with a gap on the shelf and have to switch to "normal" coffee yoghurt. It's the same with the soft butter (butter with rapeseed oil) - there's regularly a gap in the shelf. I now have to buy 3 packs at a time, as long as they are restocked, so that I always have them at home. Then last week on Friday I wanted to buy some bread at lunchtime. Unbelievable but true, there were 7 pieces of bread left in the whole bread rack - and no Weggli or Brötli either. It's not tragic if they don't have my favorite types of bread, but only 7 pieces of bread left, none of which I like or am allowed to eat (allergy), that simply shouldn't be the case. I then raised this issue at the checkout and she told me to make my opinion known with a card that was laid out there. As there wasn't enough space on it, I'm now doing it this way. I don't want to be misunderstood - it's not a bad thing if something is missing from the rack, but if it happens regularly, it's annoying.
