i'm not a big consumer of tinned food, but it happens from time to time.
what bothers me is not that less tinplate is used (some edges are almost impossible for the opener to grip), but that you can no longer open them at the bottom and top with the opener and then press them flat. this can reduce the volume considerably. you don't just pay for transportation by weight, but also by volume. i can also flatten an aluminum can or pet with my own weight, but not metal.
yesterday i was annoyed about lenses with L24E08. they now have a rounded edge at the bottom! no opener can do that.
i don't want to add to my community's disposal costs, which are financed by taxes. can i expect migros to produce these cans again in a way that is suitable for can openers?
thank you and best regards
