Is it really necessary for women's knee-high socks that are packed in plastic and cardboard to be re-packed in plastic?

This is not normal and is probably due to an oversight on the part of a single production facility. we have checked and the pantyhose and socks are placed between a cardboard insert, which is protected by a polybag. So this must be an exception. Kind regards, Angela
