I could hardly believe my eyes when I recently discovered Almdudler by chance (as I don't usually buy sweet drinks) while walking past the drinks shelves in a Bern branch. As I read M magazine every week, I'm pretty sure that this drink was introduced quietly and secretly and that many Almdudler lovers still don't know about it. Is the Almdudler to suffer the same fate as many other products that I love dearly, namely that it will soon be removed from the range without promotion on the grounds that sales were unsatisfactory? No wonder, if nobody knows that it is available in Migros. So far, the only sweet drink I have consumed has been bought in the Coop.

Hello Federwolke
I have just asked the people responsible for the product range why Almdudler was not announced in the Migros magazine. I'll get back to you here as soon as I receive any information.
The 0.5 liter PET bottles have been around for a long time (Centre Brügg), but the larger units are missing.
As I was in Chur last week, I took advantage and emptied the shelves with the 4 packs of 1½ l PET bottles, there used to be 6 packs in the "Kalkbreite" and "Gäuggeli" branches!
Apparently not interested? This would be a good opportunity, as I have just discovered that Almdudler is no longer available in the Coop. Not even in the two MM stores where I usually shop. I'll just have to go out to the Westside again.
We have had Almdudler in the Migros Aare Cooperative range in around 60 stores since 2014. There are currently no plans to remove Almdudler from the range.
Merci Tanja. As an Almdudler fan, diligent M-Magizin reader and Migipedia user, I didn't realize for two years that the drink had been introduced in my region. Since my original question was not answered, I assume that there was no promotion and that there won't be one. I wonder if Migros doesn't need to draw the attention of the small but loyal Almdudler fan camp.
Would it be possible to add the 5 dl bottle to Migipedia so that I can find out about availability in my area?
PS: When I checked the availability of the 1.5 l bottle, the result is that the drink is not available anywhere in the region: https://produkte.migros.ch/almdudler
We have had Almdudler in the Migros Aare Cooperative in around 60 stores since 2014. Can you perhaps tell us which stores these are? Migros Aare is relatively large and there doesn't seem to be any Almdudler in the stores that are more or less in my catchment area.
Migros Aare includes 27 shopping centers, over 50 specialist stores, 23 VOI Migros partners, 80 restaurants and, of course, 125 supermarkets.
But in some branches in eastern Switzerland and Schaffhausen. But that's too far away for me, so I'd rather go to Otto. :-)
Greetings from the yellow Migi piglet

@Federwolkeich I'm still trying to find out what the promotion looked like back then. But it's true that not all products are announced in the Migros magazine. I'll stay on top of it and try to get more information.
I'll pass on the tip about the 5dl bottles and we'll also look into the problem with the availability query. This is currently not working for me either.
@deactivated uscan you tell me which store or stores you prefer to shop in? Then I can find out for you where you can get Almdudler near you.
Best regards Tanja

Hello
It depends on many factors, the weather, the orders, the availability of parking spaces near the entrance or by the elevator, etc. I go to Migros when it's close by, 60% of the time in German-speaking Switzerland, 80% if you include Eastern Switzerland. :-) Every now and then, when I can, I plan a short stop at MMM Sursee, because it's the only store where you can reliably get Lucerne gingerbread - they can't even manage that in Lucerne. From time to time, however, I also take the route to Geneva and of course back to civilization. There are villages like Lausanne, Fribourg, Yverdon, La-Schott-de-Irgendwas, Ecublens, Biel, etc. I'm never in Ticino, so you can leave that region out. Last week I went to the Westside for a quick 10 minutes. During this summer, I'm mainly traveling in northwestern Switzerland, i.e. BS, BL, AG, SO, occasionally LU, BE and Jura.
Went to Westside today. There are no 1.5 liter bottles of Almdudler there, probably like in the availability query in the whole Migros Aare. 5 dl bottles are available, both individually and in packs of 6. I immediately stocked up for the rest of the summer.
