It would be so great if there were vegan plaits in Migros. It would certainly be met with great enthusiasm, given the increasing incidence of allergies and the "healthy eating trend".

Exactly, you have just brought the spelt plait into the stores. If you could now bring a vegan plait (combined with spelt?) (e.g. with soy milk and vegetable margarine), I would be happy on Sunday morning :-)
No, unfortunately it's not a spelt plait. It's a wheat plait with a small amount of spelt............

A vegan plait is then no longer a plait, but simply a baked dough mixture that at best looks like a plait. For me, a plait is still defined by butter and milk and flour, salt and yeast.
If someone wants to eat vegan (or has to, which is rarely the case), then I think they have to rely on plaited bread whether they like it or not. But nowadays it's hip to be vegan, but at the same time to have or want vegan sausages or, as the example shows, plaited pigtails.
But a vegan plait .... and good luck to everyone.
According to the definition, a plait is basically a braided yeast pastry. In Switzerland, it has certainly long been a tradition that these are made with butter and milk...but what is not necessarily the same forever, is it? Just as the composition and seasoning of products are constantly being adapted to the preferences and wishes of customers, for example, it would also be possible for this to happen with a braided pastry. People are also allowed to choose something for "hip" reasons...at least it doesn't harm their health or the environment;) And for various reasons (environment, development, medicine...) there are many people today who have intolerances, but who do not swing the karma club, but simply ask Migros in a friendly manner and give them feedback on what their customers' needs are. Just as Migros appreciates it, hence the grateful responses from the friendly Migros employees.

I have spoken to a responsible specialist and unfortunately I have to disappoint you. No vegan plait is planned for our range. However, we will wait and see whether the demand for such a product increases and possibly expand the range accordingly.

I would buy the vegan braid! 2 of my kids are lactose intolerant and would be happy. And me too, I wouldn't always have to bake. ?
