Last week, after a first successful attempt at an attended checkout, I tried to pay via the Migros app. Unfortunately it didn't work, the design of the Subito machines is simply unsuitable for this purpose.
The picture of how you should hold your cell phone is all well and good, but if you need 3 attempts to read the Cumulus number and then the payment doesn't work at all because the code is not read, something is definitely wrong.
I would urgently advise Migros to either adapt the devices so that this is easy and "foolproof" (it works perfectly with the Cumulus card and the vouchers) or to discontinue the Migros app payment option at the Subito machines. As it is now, it will probably just be a frustrating experience for many people. For my part, I'll do without such gymnastic exercises in future and use my normal Cumulus Master Card again.

Hello Soloo. Thank you for your feedback. Of course, there is always room for improvement with new functions. We are constantly developing Subito and the payment options to make them easier and more intuitive. Your feedback helps us to do this and we have passed it on to our Subito team. Thank you for the quick feedback. I understand the argument that you don't want to disable the function, but the way it is currently solved is a little frustrating and probably not the shopping experience you want for customers.
At best, the problem is due to the lighting conditions. In contrast to the receipts, which you have to hold in the opening under the reader, the cell phone should be held outside. As Migros is not usually a dark place, there are lamps hanging from the ceilings and reflections could make it impossible to read the code.
Technically, I see the solution that you could hold the cell phone, like the Cumulus vouchers, in the opening instead of just below it as currently shown. Unfortunately, this will probably be relatively difficult due to the many different cell phone sizes. Or simply mount a small "roof" over the opening of the reader so that no reflections can occur.
Alternatively, you could perhaps mount a hand scanner on the Subito vending machine, which would be a relatively simple and inexpensive way of avoiding the problem.

Please don't switch it off under any circumstances... I ONLY pay at Subito and since the payment option with the app has been available, ONLY via the app. In the beginning I also had difficulties, but something has changed, because for some time now it has always worked straight away (at least in my regularly visited branches).
