Hello hudezuch, thank you very much for your post. Migros is also endeavoring to make a contribution to reducing sugar consumption. It has already successfully implemented various measures:
By the end of 2013, Migros had reduced the sugar content of 56% of its national yogurt range by 5 to 10%. Since then, the sugar content of over 100 other products has also been reduced.
Migros is also a partner of actionsanté, an initiative of the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH. As part of this initiative, the nutritional values of over 43% of all recipes in the national own-brand breakfast cereals range were improved or the products were replaced with improved new products by the end of 2016.
Biscuits, desserts, cakes and sweets are luxury foods that should be consumed in moderation. They are therefore not the focus of recipe revisions. The transparent and comprehensive nutrition declaration helps our customers to make a conscious choice for or against a product.
