I'd like someone to explain to me why Shared Services is promoting this:
"Targeted promotion of sustainable development
Also in 2010, the department took concrete steps, in conjunction with other business areas, to ensure that the services it provides are as sustainable as possible. This effort began with the development of the surroundings of operating sites in ways that would allow nature to regain its rights, resulting in the certification of four of them by the Nature and Economy Foundation.
And this announcement here:
"The Swiss Confederation has authorized Migros to sell rice that does not meet Swiss standards. Following a request from the orange giant, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has added this cereal to the list of products authorized in Switzerland under the Cassis de Dijon principle.
The 26 tonnes of rice in question contain slightly too much residue of the pesticide tebuconazole," Migros spokeswoman Martina Bosshard told RSR's "On en parle" program on Tuesday. They are packaged in one-kilo packs, equivalent to one month's sales.
"A quantity 40 times higher
The tons of rice sold by Migros contain only 0.01 mg more tebuconazole than permitted by Swiss standards. But the general decision published on November 15 by the FOPH, which adopts European standards, authorizes a quantity 40 times higher than hitherto, noted Didier Ortelli, Geneva's cantonal chemist, who was also interviewed for the program.
And this decision is not limited to tebuconazole. Other pesticides can now be found in greater quantities in all rice sold in Switzerland, explained Mr. Ortelli.
You don't care about your customers and their health, and you hide behind your "good deeds" towards foreign producers. Tell the Uruguayans to eat even their junk food.
