We have what we affectionately call a "Lädeli" in the neighborhood, namely a Migros branch (an M) that is run by friendly people and is a pleasure to shop in. It goes without saying that the range is limited for reasons of space. However, the fact that the staff - according to the information received - have no influence on the product range ("Zurich decides") is more than strange. For example, the milk department was recently restructured and suddenly the normal pasteurized cream is missing. That can't be right! Or they are pushing the organic line, stacking up organic yogurts and when you have grown to love them (lemons are the very best variety!), they disappear again and instead you find passion yogurts that nobody wants. The budget version of butter has now also been discontinued. This is a strategic mistake, as the store is located in Basel and cheap foreign countries are so close by.
Do customers and cooperative members really have so little influence?
