I had planned to visit the Centre Brügg last Tuesday after my appointments, which I did.
As I only had one PET bottle and one milk bottle, I threw them into the respective holes in the recycling wall in the store.
I then topped up my cash card at the information desk and strolled towards the scanner dispensing stations. Of the four, three were empty and the fourth was full, but it wasn't responding. Now I realized that it was senior citizen's day. (I'm one too, but I don't let myself be channeled by such days or activities. Shop when I feel like it!) People shook their heads and went shopping without a scanner. ?

I turned right around, went to the information desk and reported: "the fourth person at the take-away next to the scanner station doesn't want to hand in a reader!" ?

After a short time, the error was rectified and I had a scanner in my hand.
The rest was routine, except that people were chatting everywhere and the shopping carts were held spasmodically, blocking access to the shelves and counters.
I actually had a short shopping list on my iPod Touch, but it took a long time as I had to make my way: "Pardon!", "Excuse me!": and I had access to the lactose-free yogurts! From then on things went better, because the specialty yogurts are the tightest. So I scanned Apfelsprudel, Bio Amaranth Chia, M-Fresh Neutro and Optimum Insektenspray... then it was over... the scanner didn't want any more! ?

So I took the scanner, parked the Caddy in a corner, towards the check-out and gave it to Mr. A... (I've known him for years) and reported: "Doesn't want any more - need a new one!". After he triggered a scanner at the drop-off station and scanned my Cumulus number, the data was transferred.
"Insect spray was the last thing," asked A.... "Yes," and I said goodbye and went in the direction where my caddy was waiting. I was lucky, it was still there and without any misplaced products.

From then on it was back to habit, scanning... scanning... and paying at the payment station after scanning the senior card with the iPod. ?

Was a purchase mi Imprévues - didn't matter - had plenty of time - no one waiting for me!
