I have to say that I was very annoyed again yesterday when I went shopping. Why is every organic vegetable wrapped in plastic? I always use these veggie bags for my vegetable shopping to avoid plastic as much as possible. But I also like to buy organic vegetables. Unfortunately, this is not possible because all organic vegetables are wrapped in plastic. Why is that? What a pity!
Why does this topic have to be posted again and again?
It is simply the case that conventional goods are sold much more than organic. What is sold much less must be clearly differentiated from the other goods. I hardly believe that a cashier can recognize at the checkout in a hurry whether it is an organic cucumber or a normal cucumber if it is not marked separately.
Migros has also written that it is working on alternatives such as "branding/tatoos" etc.. Unfortunately, this won't happen overnight.
And please don't start threads like this again tomorrow
Yes, but you have to read the same thing hundreds of times on all the Facebook pages of the respective retailers. The same applies to 20min and Blick comment columns.
Although it has been written before (requested by Blick and 2omin and answered by the Migros press spokesperson)... and again organic fans have the feeling that only their opinion counts here.
The same issue applies to Christmas and Easter items as soon as they hit the shop floor. And yet some people feel like they're opening a can of worms on Facebook and the like.
Wow... can you delete the post here too? Sorry I didn't realize there were already posts about this here. Didn't see/find it. But good to know that most people here are so perfect. And many thanks to those who understand if someone here is not. Sorry for the post, I certainly won't do it again?
Avoid Platic? Can we avoid them all? What makes more sense to buy something in Platic and nearby or to drive 20 kilometers ALONE in the car? Where can we save more energy, e.g. with a VEGAN diet? We get upset about small things, but we don't want to see the ESSENTIAL! And perhaps SOME of you have already noticed that at the moment YOUR Migros has a very capable and reputable organic supplier. And to recognize it clearly, you just need some packaging, which has become lighter in recent years!
First of all, thanks for the quick reply/help from @Frederica to direct @Nadii20 to the existing threads on the topic. I will address the inadequate search function again at the next opportunity ;) And thanks @EEnergy for stepping into the breach for us. That's right, unfortunately many things don't happen overnight. But we are very aware of the issue and are really working on it.
On the subject of the same topics over and over again... Yes, of course we can tell you a thing or two about that ;) I have to agree with everyone here somewhere. Certain topics have already been discussed up and down and still come up again and again as if they had never been addressed before. Sometimes people really don't know about them, like here on our forum. Other times, people just want to say it. And of course the media know that the topic is a hot topic... And perhaps they think that the more people say it (or share posts on social media channels), the faster something will happen. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen any faster when it comes to plastics. And unfortunately, we can only ever repeat ourselves in our responses. Which annoys people who have heard it for the hundredth time. But, as already mentioned, it just takes time.
Nevertheless, it's good to get feedback. Even if many people never want to believe it, it can actually make a difference! We really take it on board, pass it on and take it seriously. Sometimes there's a change, as requested by the customer. Other times not because there are x factors that are decisive. I'm not talking about plastic here, but about changes and adjustments to x products in general.
Anyway, what I want to say is: I, or we, are happy about your feedback and also about your different opinions. Keep sharing them, just be nice to each other ;) And it's great if you have a little understanding and patience with us. To put it bluntly, we are a big store, no single person can change something fundamental here overnight like, for example, a sole proprietorship - at least in theory? - could do.
And @EEnergy, I apologize already, because the Easter bunnies were unpacked this week... ;)
Best wishes to you all, enjoy the beautiful spring weather!
