I was very pleased about the reusable ''bags'' for fruit and vegetables. But at the moment almost all organic vegetables are already wrapped in plastic, so when you shop at Migros you can do little to contribute to zero waste. I think that's a shame and somehow contradictory, especially with organic products... Couldn't that simply be changed? I think that would make a lot of people happy. Many thanks

We already sell many organic products unpackaged. Organic nectarines, organic melons, organic avocados, organic oranges, organic mangoes and many other fruits/vegetables are either labeled with a sticker or banded. This is promoted wherever possible. We are also constantly looking at new alternatives.
However, organic products must be clearly separated from conventionally produced products at all times due to the Organic Farming Ordinance, which is why they are now often packaged. Simply labeling the display is not enough. According to the Organic Farming Ordinance, it must be ensured that customers know for each product whether it is organic or conventional. With an open display, it is more challenging to guarantee this requirement. However, a thin plastic film also makes sense in terms of product protection: an unpackaged cucumber can no longer be sold after a few days, but 1.5 grams of packaging will keep it fresh for around two weeks.
