Is alcohol used as a carrier in this Blevita and why is it not labeled vegetarian?

Hello Altun, no alcohol is added to this product, not even as a carrier. Cheese is made with calf rennet, which is why our Blévita with Gruyère is not vegetarian. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The Blevita are great, but please please please make large packs of the cheese blevita and thyme sea salt, the mountain of waste is unfortunately very unnecessary!

Customer needs for more choice (different Blévita varieties at home, packaging sizes), mobility (on-the-go consumption) and demographic trends (more and more small households) mean that the demand for and consumption of Blévitas in the form of portions is now 85%. As the shelves in Migros stores have limited space, it is unfortunately not possible to offer all varieties in bars. We regularly check which varieties are the most popular so that we can adapt the range accordingly. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello everyone, I would also like to have this product in the large pack, we don't buy the large packs because they have such a boring taste. Buying these small packs is not in line with my sustainability measures, but I still buy them because they are my favorite thing to eat. Hello lasc001, thank you for your post. We are seeing a need for more choice (different varieties at home), mobility (eating on the go) and an increase in small households. As a result, the consumption of Blévitas in portion form is now at 85%. As we do not have endless space on our shelves, it is unfortunately not possible to offer every variety on a stick. I'm really sorry to have to say this, but in my opinion this "excuse" has not been valid for a long time. I immediately believe that 85% of sales now come from portion packs, but these varieties are much more attractive and innovative and have a completely different taste. I also only buy a large pack 1-2 times a year, but would love to do so more often if exciting flavors (especially Gruyère) were also available. Consumers don't have the choice between large and small packs, as the main criterion for probably over 90% of buyers is still the taste and not the pack size. What's the point of buying large packs that don't contain the flavor I want? I'd rather go for the less environmentally friendly and more expensive portion pack than choose a variety that I don't like. I fully understand that not all varieties can be available in a large pack, but a "test" in a portion pack, which takes up less space on the shelf, certainly makes sense, especially for the launch. However, when a basic request appears so often in this forum over several years and is repeatedly rejected with an explanation that I no longer find plausible and is soon ridiculous, I simply think it's a shame. Question: What would have to happen for Migros to introduce the bulk pack, at least on a trial basis? (If it really doesn't pay off, you could always go back to the old, small pack size and at least have demonstrable arguments that can be statistically proven).

However, the requirements of our consumers are very diverse and only a small proportion of our customers reveal these on Migipedia. This often gives the impression that it is a major need of the general public. However, compared to the rest of Switzerland, this is only a small fraction. This is just one of many other factors that we have to take into account. We assure you that we regularly carry out product range analyses and make adjustments in order to continuously improve our range. Yes, of course 85% are bought in portion form! The varieties in the large packs are also pretty boring. All the delicious varieties are only available in portions! Please, please try these simply fantastic Gruyere-Blevitas!!!!

Hello indios Thank you for your contribution. Currently, a large selection, i.e. different varieties, as well as on-the-go consumption are particularly topical. In addition, there are more and more small households. As a result, 85% of our Blévita's are bought in the portion form. Blévita with Gruyère AOC contains folic acid.
In January 2000, the Swiss Folic Acid Offensive Foundation launched a national prevention campaign with the aim of closing the folic acid gap according to the 4th Swiss Nutrition Report 98 of the Federal Office of Public Health. Since then, over three hundred products have been enriched with folic acid, which are labeled with the Folic Acid Life Vitamin logo. Thanks to this campaign, awareness of folic acid prevention increased from 38% in 2000 to 76% in 2010.
Natural sources of folic acid include yeast, wheat germ and bran as well as veal and poultry liver. Small amounts of folic acid are contained in wholemeal products, vegetables, nuts, fruit, fish and meat.
At MIDOR AG, the products additionally enriched with folic acid are Blévitas and Zwieback.

Folic acid is produced in the chemical industry on a ton scale. First, the 6-hydroxy-2,4-diaminopyrimidine is synthesized from guanidine and cyanoacetic acid ethyl ester, which is then reacted with nitrous acid to form the nitro derivative and subsequently reduced to the 6-hydroxy-2,4,5-triaminopyrimidine.
